Well SmuttyCat must offer 4 paws up for the exciting romp offered by Thor: The Dark World. This installment in the franchise has action, drama and loads of humor. Audiences can enjoy without taking anything too seriously. Warning; Spoiler Alert ahead.
How could Marvel top the first installment in Thor? Well, how about Asgardan flying spaceships! Yep, Asgard uses candles and lanterns but has spaceships and flying canoes. But SmuttyCat digresses. The story centers around the coming alignment of the nine realms which will allow travel between realms and activate a deadly force which has been dormant since before the beginning of history.
Of course, Jane Foster becomes infected with this force and becomes the focal point for unleashing the wrath of the Dark Elves who want to control the force and destroy all universes. Why? Well apparently they liked it dark and empty.
After a massive attack on Asgard itself, Thor turns to Loki for help ending the threat. The plan doesn’t go exactly smooth and Thor has to race to Earth to face the Dark Elves alone. Now, SmuttyCat ponders why not even one other hero, or SHIELD, could manage to make it to the big showdown, but, then it wouldn’t be Thor’s movie.
If you haven’t seen Thor, go now. This is another super Marvel movie with non-stop fun. For the next installment, if Chris Helmsworth is not available, maybe Marvel will consider SmuttyCat.
