But wait, there’s more; it comes with a Tesseract. A Tesseract! Who wouldn’t want one of these? A cube of unlimited energy that can cross dimensions. Everyone who wants to become Supreme Emperor of the Universe needs one of these.
Quick where do I input my human’s credit card number? Before the dog rats me out.
In a summer of reboots, the unlikely candidate Total Recall is getting a new life. Starring Colin Farell in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s role, the new version offers super slick FX. The movie is not blockbuster material, especially following Avengers, Spiderman and Dark Knight, but should offer solid escapist fun.
Enjoy the summer and don’t forget your furry family members.
OK, even Smutty knows you don’t insult peeps on their own turf…
Well, we’ had Avengers, Amazing Spiderman and now, The Dark Knight Rises. Theatre, Theatre in the Mall, who will be the biggest Superhero movie of them all? While Smutty is betting on Avengers, the heat wave may work in favor of the more recent releases as people with no power look for ways to hide out during the hottest parts of the day. We’ll all see on July 20.
Don’t forget your pet needs to keep cool too, so sneak Fido or Fluffy in a purse or find a pet-friendly mall or cinema.
Scrat and friends are back with more cool fun for families. Smutty admires Scrat’s ability to avoid death with all the accidents he has and causes. But the ice and water settings will cool you off even more than the theatre air-conditioning.
So grab the family (don’t forget the dog and cat), and head for the nearest movie theatre on July 13. Smutty can smell the popcorn now.
Smutty recommends The Amazing Spiderman for family fun this holiday – PG 13 rating for parents of super-youngsters.
And of course, movies are a great way to stay out of the heat. Now, if Spidey would just grow up and join the Avengers, everything would be perfect.
Cats and Dogs know that the weather is hot and we nap a lot to save energy. But, cats and dogs also take time to romp and get a little exercise when it cools off a little. Smutty reminds humans that exercise is important even when the weather is hot. Schedule time in the early morning or late evening and drink plenty of water.
And don’t forget to drop a couple of ice cubes into the pet water dish. They will appreciate it.
Stay cool, and when it is hottest, take a nap.
